WiMAX - Wireless Broadband

WiMAX uses OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) as the air interface and the industry is rallying around OFDM as the air interface of choice going forward. As wireless standards and offerings evolve from a few Mbps to 100Mbps, they will all use OFDM. Unification around OFDM is good for the industry since it drives R&D costs down via economies of scale and results in greater spectrum efficiency.
