garybr: I have a cisco 1100 ap b flavor. I am trying to replace a old microsoft b unit. When i go to the web interface on the 1100 and select DHCP i cannot get the ap to pull a ip address off my motorola cable modem. I tried using a netgear switch i get an ip address for my laptop but the 1100 will not pull an ip

JoelB: Make sure the interface is enabled first. If this is the first time you've configured the AP, save the config and reboot. It goes into a pre-config mode the first time it comes up unconfigured. Make sure you read the config instructions.

If that doesn't work, upgrade the firmware.
